Funnel Trap

Funnel trap: Effective for monitoring and trapping pests such as Leopard Moth or Wood leopard moth (Zeuzera pyrina) or Goat Moth (Cossus Cossus). The trap consists of an upper funnel-shaped part, a lower collection container, a hanging rope and a pheromone basket in the lid.

McPhail Trap: Effective for monitoring and trapping such pests as the Mediterranean Fruit Fly (Ceratitis Capitata), the Olive Fly (Bactrocera Oleae). The trap consists of a yellow funnel base, a transparent lid, a hanging rope and a pheromone basket.

Description

The Funnel Trap consists of a funnel section and a bucket. A central pheromone dispenser holder is located on top of the funnel under an umbrella type cover. The traps are used in combination with pheromone dispensers.

Insects attracted to the trap fly around the pheromone dispenser until exhausted and then fall into the trap. Insects find it impossible to fly out of the bucket and will eventually be killed by the use of a soap water solution inside the bucket.

Funnel Trap is reusable and made of durable plastic, it is an ideal solution for use in open fields.
